Random thought of the day:
Before there was Stiller and Wilson or Vaughn and Favreau, there was the pairing of Scott Baio and Willie Aames.
~ ~ ~ I am finally free!! Convention is over! I don’t want to see Hollywood and Highland or my co-workers any time soon. Unfortunately, I can’t do anything about the latter since I’m right back at work tomorrow.
I likened the experience to some coming-of-age film set in the Vietnam era. A team of us, all happy-go-lucky, singing, laughing and wistfully saying, “We’ll always be golden and we’ll always have each other.” Then war, this time in the guise of a convention, tears us apart: we were put in separate parts of the hotel, nerves were frayed, I got into an argument with someone, we were working different shifts at certain times, we were running errands so we couldn’t hang out as much. Thank goodness for walkie-talkies.
But overall, I had a great time. I met people from our other offices across the country that I had email or phone relationships, but had never met. I bonded with other people in my office that I usually don’t spend time with.
Plus, I expensed the hell out of food. |

Baio and Aames! Yes. How much did I love Zapped!
I can't believe someone else loved Zapped besides me! I loved that movie.
One weekend, I'm just going to go to Hollywood Video and rent all of the movies from my youth, "Zapped", "Midnight Madness" and just have a marathon.
Oh, Zapped was pretty much a staple of my childhood. I remember the projectile vomit and the exorcism scene the most vividly. :) Midnight Madness is not ringing a bell.
Midnight Madness is a movie about a group of teens who go on a Scavenger Hunt throughout LA and it starred Michael J. Fox in like his first role and David Naughton as his brother. Think Goonies, but with more outdated hair :) | |
